Physical Therapy
Our goal as physical therapists is to improve your quality of life.
Many therapies are used as healing aids, but with physical therapy we not only aid the healing process, we aim to get at the root of the problem and prevent it from reoccurring.
Physical Therapists are considered “movement experts” who help patients improve their function through therapeutic exercise, hands-on care, and patient education. They examine patients and then develop a customized treatment plan to improve the patient’s ability to move, reduce or manage pain, restore function and prevent disability. Physical Therapists also help those who simply want to become healthier and prevent future problems. They take a holistic (whole-body) approach, addressing not only your physical aspects of self but also your emotional, psychological, and social well-being.

What is Physical Therapy?

STRENGTH EXERCISES
Strength exercises are designed to improve the ability of your muscles to generate force and support your joints.
Mobility and strength complement each other: Strength without mobility can leave you strong in a limited range of motion, which may affect function or place extra stress on other joints.
MOBILITY
Mobility exercises focus on improving how well your joints and soft tissues move. They're different from flexibility alone because they emphasize controlled movement through a comfortable range of motion.
Mobility and strength complement each other: Mobility without strength may give you more range of motion, but you may not be able to control that movement well.

MANUAL THERAPY
Manual therapy is a specialized, hands-on approach that helps improve the way your joints, muscles, and connective tissues move. Your treatment is tailored to your specific needs and may include joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching, or myofascial release. These techniques may be applied through our hands or instruments such as a Graston tool and cupping. The goal is to help decrease pain, improve flexibility, and prepare your body for more effective movement and exercise.

BALANCE TRAINING
Good balance is essential for staying active, confident, and independent. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing dizziness, or looking to reduce your risk of falling, balance training can help improve your stability, coordination, strength, and confidence with everyday activities. Your program is customized to challenge you safely while helping you achieve your goals

DRX
The DRX9000C provides a treatment option for the relief of neck pain associated with herniated discs, protruding discs, degenerative disc disease, and bulging discs. Under physician direction, each session consists of a period on the DRX9000C to provide intermittent cycling distraction forces to relieve pressure on structures that may be causing neck pain.

SHOCKWAVE
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves delivered through the skin to stimulate the body's natural healing response. It's commonly used for certain tendon conditions, plantar fasciitis, calcific shoulder tendinopathy, and some other musculoskeletal problems. The treatment may help reduce pain and improve function over time, often in combination with an exercise-based rehabilitation program.

LASER
This non-invasive treatment uses low-level light energy to stimulate the body's natural healing processes at the cellular level. Unlike surgical or high-powered lasers, the Erchonia laser does not produce heat and treatments are comfortable, painless, and require no downtime. It is used to help reduce pain, decrease inflammation, support tissue healing, and enhance recovery from musculoskeletal injuries.
